Bluegrass Banjo

Bluegrass Scruggs Style 5-String banjo and Melodic Banjo. Consisting of rhythm vamping and backup along with learning the classic tunes from the world of Bluegrass and Old time music.

Mandolin

From Irish to Bluegrass there are a whole host of tunes and songs to learn along with all the usual double stops, scales, runs and chords.

Bass

Electric Bass styles such as "walking bass" for blues styles, Reggae and Funk. Also Bluegrass Double Bass can be learned.

Ukulele

The Ukulele has become a popular choice lately and can be a versatile instrument. Used in traditional songs from the 30's, 40's and 50's, and increasingly heard in more modern music.

Music Theory

A basic knowlegde some Music Theory can help you to navigate around your instrument and take a lot of the mystery and fear out of music. All students will learn some theory as part of the lessons but it is also available to take as a lesson either for qualification reasons or for your own musical improvement as a whole.

Grading

If the student would like to take exms in his/her instrument then grading is available with the London College of Music through RGT. The course books are used during the lesson and when he or she has reached a high enough standard we then apply to sit the exam. Consistently excellent results are attained through time proven teaching methods.

The Studio

At the studio the student is able to take advantage of modern technology with the use of multi-track digital recording.  With the use of backing tracks, we can simulate playing in a band situation. Playing with people is a very important part of learning an instrument and can be recreated here in the studio.
